About
The New Evidence team welcomes you to our website: New Evidence–Canadian Vision for Rheumatology. Our website and journal provide rheumatology specialists with scientific data from research presented at international and Canadian rheumatology conferences. A special feature, the Canadian perspective, gives key opinion leaders a forum to discuss recent developments in rheumatology and to comment on how these advances may shape Canadian clinical practice.
Our January 2012 issue presents coverage of the 2011 ACR/
ARHP Annual Scientific Meeting held in Chicago, Illinois, on
November 6–9, 2011. This issue includes studies focusing on
switching to tocilizumab monotherapy in patients with an
inadequate response to disease modifying anti-rheumatic
drugs (DMARDs) or biologics and switching to rituximab in
patients failing tumour necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitors. We
would like to thank Dr. Janet Pope, Dr. Denis Choquette, and
Dr. John H. Stone for their Canadian and international perspectives,
and Dr. Jeffrey R. Curtis and Dr. Shouvik Dass for their
investigator commentaries.
We invite you to
join us to receive the print version of
New Evidence. Visit our website often for more reports on current research, downloadable slide presentations on various topics, and future online issues of our journal.
